Who we are
PermitCove is published on Google's Blogger platform. We are not a government agency and we do not issue permits. You can reach us through the form on our Contact page or by email at ahmedkhalifa@permitcove.com.
Information we collect
- Information you send us: if you use the contact form or leave a comment, we receive the name, email address, and message you choose to provide.
- Automatically collected information: like most websites, our hosting platform (Blogger, operated by Google) and our service providers may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring pages, and approximate location.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored on your device that help the site work, measure traffic, remember preferences, and support advertising.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, payment details, or government ID documents.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the site
- To understand which guides are useful and fix errors
- To respond to messages you send us
- To display advertising that helps keep the site free
We do not sell the personal information you send us through the contact form.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This site uses or may use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Where required by law, such as for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google may ask for your consent before using cookies for personalized ads.
Analytics
We may use traffic statistics provided by Blogger or Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These tools use cookies and similar technologies. You can learn about Google's practices in the Google Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work, and you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
Links to other websites
Our guides link to official government pages and other resources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Comments
If comments are enabled and you post one, your name and comment may be publicly visible. Comments are processed by Blogger under Google's policies.
Children's privacy
PermitCove is written for adult homeowners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states or the European Union, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of certain uses such as personalized advertising. To make a request about information you sent us, use the Contact page. For data collected by Google, use the tools in your Google account and the links above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
This policy in plain English
This short summary is here to make the policy above easier to read. If anything here seems to differ from the sections above, the sections above apply.
- You can read every guide without an account. You only send personal details to us directly if you choose to use the contact form or leave a comment.
- The site runs on Blogger. Google operates the hosting platform, so Google's own policies apply to the technical data it collects when pages load.
- Ads come from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads. You can turn off personalized ads with the Google and industry links in the advertising section above.
- Do not send us sensitive documents. We never need ID numbers, payment details, or private plan sets to answer a question or fix an article.
Privacy FAQ
Do the permit calculator and checker save what I enter?
The permit expiration calculator and the permit checker do their math in your browser. The dates, measurements, and choices you enter are not sent to us. The calendar reminder file the calculator offers is created on your device when you click the link. Normal page-load data collected by Blogger and Google, described above, still applies to those pages like any other page.
What happens to a message I send through the contact form?
We receive the name, email address, and message you choose to provide, and we use them to read and, when needed, reply to your message. We do not sell what you send us.
How can I see fewer personalized ads?
Use Google Ads Settings or the industry opt-out page linked above. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
